What is AFT?

The Aroma Freedom Technique (AFT) is a step by step process that uses your sense of smell to create a permanent shift in how you view both yourself & the world around you. 

As your practitioner, I will gently guide you through the steps helping you to identify & then release the negative thoughts, memories, & feelings that have been holding you back & keeping you stuck. 

How Does it work?

Our sense of smell is 10,000 times more sensitive than any other sense. 

Touch & taste must travel through the body via the nervous system & spinal cord before reaching the brain whereas smell has direct access to the brain, specifically the limbic system. 

Our limbic system is made up of two main parts -- the hippocampus & the amygdala. This is where memories are stored & where our fight/ flight/ or freeze response gets triggered. It is also where we process smell.

During an Aroma Freedom session, your practitioner will activate your limbic system, asking it to process several things all at once. 

The amygdala is simply unable to keep up which allows all the negatives to dissolve & fade away leaving you hopeful, optimistic and ready to move forward.
